Bring Alberta Spruce Inside?

Q: Can I bring my potted alberta spruce tree inside for the winter?

A: I strongly caution against bringing the plant inside.

Plants require a period of dormancy during winter, so bringing it inside will throw it off its schedule.

If you need to protect the plant for some reason, better to place it in an unheated building, protect the sides of the container with mulch or fiberglas insulation, and water when the soil gets dry.
