What size container for
Dwarf Alberta Spruce Tree?

Q: I can't find info anywhere on how big a container I should plant my dwarf alberta spruce tree in...would 1-2 inches larger in each side be adequate?

Amelia

A: Jamming the spruce into a container barely larger than its rootball is dooming it to a certain death.

The container you choose should be at least twice as big in diameter than the rootball of the tree, and larger if possible.

If you stick the tree into too small of a container, it will become rootbound very quickly and die.
