Flowers for Hospital and other Patients
by Michael Day of Flowerville

Q. What are good flowers for a hospital where the patient won't be able to water or maintain for a few days?

A. When sending to a patient in the hospital, send longer lasting blooms in a vase of water. The water level is visible & easily filled.

A vase of long lasting alstromeria, daisies, mums, carnations, lilies, or a combination of them is a good idea.

Don't forget blooming or green plants for a hospital stay. They are easy to care for & long lasting!

Q. Are there any flowers or plants you would recommend that are particularly good to send recuperating people - might even have healing properties?

A. Many plants, flowers & plant parts have been used in creating medicines over the history of mankind.

Leave the healing of the patient to the medical professionals, but know that it is a proven fact, flowers make people feel better!
