Brew Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ lbs. Lean ground beef
- 4 slices sweet onion
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 crusty white or whole wheat rolls, cut in half
- lettuce
Brew Sauce:
- ¼ Cup Beer
- ¼ Cup A-1 Sauce (or other prepared Steak Sauce)
Instructions:
- Combine sauce ingredients and heat ( microwave or stove top) until bubbling.
- Shape the ground beef into four patties about ¾ " thick.
- Place patties and onion on grill. (Charcoal grill is preferred).
- Turn occasionally - but not too often.
- Cook about 14 minutes, depending on personal doneness preference.
- Season with salt and pepper (after they have cooked)
- As burgers approach doneness, generously brush each one with the sauce.
- Top with cheese, while still on the grill.
- Line the bottom of each roll with lettuce, then burger, onion and more sauce.
- Close the sandwich and serve. .
