Brew Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs. Lean ground beef
  • 4 slices sweet onion
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 crusty white or whole wheat rolls, cut in half
  • lettuce

Brew Sauce:
  • ¼ Cup Beer
  • ¼ Cup A-1 Sauce (or other prepared Steak Sauce)

Instructions:

  • Combine sauce ingredients and heat ( microwave or stove top) until bubbling.
  • Shape the ground beef into four patties about ¾ " thick.
  • Place patties and onion on grill. (Charcoal grill is preferred).
  • Turn occasionally - but not too often.
  • Cook about 14 minutes, depending on personal doneness preference.
  • Season with salt and pepper (after they have cooked)
  • As burgers approach doneness, generously brush each one with the sauce.
  • Top with cheese, while still on the grill.
  • Line the bottom of each roll with lettuce, then burger, onion and more sauce.
  • Close the sandwich and serve. .
