Great Lakes Mall and the Lake County Council on Aging are pleased to announce that plans are underway for Seniors Today…Living Well, a day long event honoring and celebrating Lake County's older Americans.
The event will be held at Great Lakes Mall on May 11, 2004 from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Seniors Today…Living Well is sponsored by Laketran, WELW, Great Lakes Mall and the Lake County Council Aging.
The day long event will feature entertainment from area senior centers, a fashion show highlighting spring and summer clothing from mall stores, live entertainment by the Somich-Tomsic Orchestra, Senior Citizen Awards presented by the Lake County Commissioners and over 50 informational displays and exhibits.
In addition, there will be various health screenings, travel information, financial and retirement analysis, free samples and giveaways.
Those seniors who plan to arrive in the morning are able to purchase a "Key to Living Well" for $1.00, which will get them a continental breakfast, Bingo, a coupon book for mall shopping and lunch discounts and a special gift.
The keys can be pre-purchased at any Lake County senior center, the Simon Marketplace/Guest Services Center at Great Lakes Mall or at the Food Court entrance the morning of the event.
The Food Court doors will open at 8:00am with the first Bingo game, hosted by Ray Somich from WELW, beginning at 8:45 am.
