Baseball is America's pastime. And fireworks on the 4th of July are a staple of American culture.
This year, we combined the two: a Rubber Ducks game on the 4th with an incredible fireworks show afterwards.
The weather was perfect for baseball - sunny and hot. But the beer was cold and that helped a lot. Unfortunately, the Ducks' bats were cold too and they lost 2-0.
Although the game wasn't in our favor, the fireworks show afterwards was a home run (see what I did there?). The view from our game seats was perfect and the visuals of the fireworks over a portion of the downtown skyline was pretty cool.
I definitely recommend doing a combo sports/fireworks on the 4th!
And if you head down to Canal Park in Akron for a Rubber Ducks game, be sure to hit up the team shop. They've got some really fun merch in there related to temporary team names the club rolls out periodically.
