Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

We all want to help the people suffering from the recent Hurricane Katrina. But make sure that your generosity is going to the right place - and especially not to con artists.

DO NOT give credit card, bank or other information to someone who calls to solicit funds to help the victims.

The FTC has a list of guidelines you should read before giving to charities.

Instead, choose one of the established charities that are working to help the victims. Make sure that you designate that any donation you make be used for the Hurricane Katrina efforts.

You may want to consider these established charities that are helping the victims - or choose another of your own. Just click on the link to go to their website.
