Savory Beer Bread recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 TBS granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon sweet basil
  • ¼ teaspoon rosemary
  • 12 ounces good beer (not Lite Beer)

Instructions:

  • Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray and sprinkle bottom with a bit of flour or corn meal if desired
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • mix together all dry ingredients
  • Slowly add beer. Batter will be a bit stiff
  • Pour or spoon into prepared pan and cook for 45-50 minutes
  • Allow loaf to cool slightly before turning out onto wire rack
