Free Air Conditioners for Seniors

The Council for Economic Opportunity in Greater Cleveland is giving out a limited number of air conditioners to seniors and those with respiratory problems.

To qualify, certain income and health criteria must be met.

If you live in Cuyahoga County you can apply for the air conditioner or up to $175 toward your summer electric bill payment by calling 216-518-4014 and setting up an appointment.

You can also visit their office at 1849 Prospect Avenue Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m.

You need to be a Cuyahoga County resident. If not call 1-800-282-0880 to check on the availability of other county's programs
