Boots' Babies
Rhodesian Ridgebacks

Boots, the Rhodesian Ridgeback of Judy Lococo, recently gave birth to 11 puppies!

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies

Judy says, "They love attention, are big hams because of all the photos that have been taken of them, and are really intelligent dogs. They have already staged one breakout of their room by removing the duct tape off the barricade & swinging it open."

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies - Misty

Brindle Baby is the largest, Misty has a "t" on her chest, thus "Miss T", Fudge has a double ridge down her back. Brindle Baby is mostly laid-back, Misty is Sassy, doesn't take any crap off of anybody but adorable, & Fudge is a sweetheart, but when she has enough, her Irish explodes onto the irritant (sibling).

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies

Because Judy deals with so many dogs, we asked how she handles the eventual loss of the relatively short-lived friends: "They are the most loyal friend you will ever have.

They don't judge, they don't question, they smile every time they see you even if they're not feeling well themselves. They hear better, see better, have a better sense of smell, although some probably can't smell much after a skunk episode.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies

I have been blessed to have had all my dogs. Just because they wear out before I do does not mean I will forgo all the pure love they offer me.

Besides, when I open my door & walk into this house, if there is a smiling face looking back at me, hopping around joyfully, I know there is no intruder in the house. And if someone is looking to burgle a place, he will probably look for easier pickings than my place.

And when you're crying because you just lost a 14-year-old best buddy, they will stand up on your chair & lick your face to try to make it better..."

Well said, Judy.
