The mission of the CWRU/UHC medical complex is the integration of basic and clinical research programs to move potential therapies from the bench to the bedside as quickly as possible.
The School of Medicine has consistently been in the top 20 institutions in the nation as judged by funding from the National Institutes of Health. It has also produced 8 Nobel Laureates.
The James and Eilleen Dicke Research Laboratory is equipped to perform most of the techniques commonly used in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry.
In conjunction with the CWRU/Ireland Cancer Center, the School of Medicine runs several state of the art core facilities including, real-time PCR, microarray analysis and computer integrated imaging.
