answered by Pharmacist John Miller

Q. Do you recommend taking Keflex with Accutane to reduce the initial breakout often experienced when taking acutane?

For someone with mild to moderate acne that is treat resistant, not modular or cystic acne could accutane when it causes the skin to get worse before it gets better could the acne change to the cystic Type?

A. Take the Keflex only if your doctor wants you to use it. Accutane should only be used by those with severe nodular acne because of the significant adverse affects of accutane.

Q. I was taking Prednisone 20 mg total 16 pills for my poison ivy this month. I just discovered I am pregnant. Did I harm the baby and what are the consequences I can look forward to?

A. You were only on a short-term therapy of Prednisone, which should not cause you any problems, but make sure you talk to your doctor.

Q. I am presently taking Prozac and Synthroid. Is there any reason either of these should interact with Coral Calcium?

A. Calcium products should be taken at least 1-2 hours from taking any other medication.
