Are you at Risk for Diabetes?

Here's a simple test to take to see if you may be one of the 1 in 20 people at risk of developing diabetes. Add the points for any of the items listed below that apply to you. If the item doesn't apply add no points.

  • Always tired - 2 points
  • Always hungry - 2 pts
  • Unexplained weight loss - 2
  • Wounds that don't heal - 2
  • Sexual dysfunction - 2
  • Overweight - 2
  • Family history of diabetes - 2
  • Blurred Vision - 2
  • Vaginal infections - 3
  • Always thirsty - 4
  • Numbness or tingling in feet - 3
  • Frequent urination -4
  • Blood sugar over 126mg/dl- 10
If your total is 7 or greater you may want to discuss this with your physician and call the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland for a free blood sugar screening.
