Labor Day Oktoberfest
Berea Fairgrounds

The Labor Day Oktoberfest will once again fill the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, Ohio with music, dancing and more traditional German food and International Selections than ever before.

Featuring Der Braumeister and Seven Roses of Cleveland, Berea's Own Chef's Choice Meats Gourmet Market (recently voted Cleveland's Best Sausage), the famous Schmidt's Restaurant & Sausage Haus and The Old Bag of Nails Pub of Columbus, and the Oktoberfest Food Court serving up a variety of favorite German Dishes by Chef John Roberto.

Oktoberfest in Berea Labor Day weekend

Produced by Labor Day Oktoberfest Inc., the event returns for its 4th year during the Labor Day Holiday Weekend with festivities getting underway on Friday, August 29th through Monday, September 1st.

The Labor Day Oktoberfest Inc. is a non-profit corporation working with local civic organizations. These local civic organizations provide volunteers for events like the Labor Day Oktoberfest with monies rose going back to these local groups and their fund-raising efforts.

The International Pavilion features performers representing over 18 different countries. From Cooking Demonstrations by Cleveland Area Chefs, to the New Microw Brew-Off by Local Micro-Breweries to the Hermes 5K Bier Run - there is certainly something for everyone!

The event will feature continuous family entertainment all weekend that includes the sand-sculpting by Internationally-renowned sand sculptor Carl Jara who has been featured on the Travel Channel. The Frisch Marionette Company is back and will be featured in the new National City Bank Educational Pavilion with an array of educational speakers and presentations.

Returning this year are the National Dachshund Races (the ever-popular weiner dog races) with the National Championships being held during the weekend of Oktoberfest right here in Cleveland.

Antique car lovers will enjoy the car show while those interested in collectibles and authentic German items can visit merchants at the German Cultural Display. Children will enjoy the children's activity area along with horse-drawn hay rides and street chalk artists.

From the traditional German Music of Hank Haller, the Fred Ziwich International Sound Machine and more there will also be performances by the Spazmatics, The Breakfast Club and Disco Inferno.

Event includes FREE parking throughout weekend. Open Times each day:

Friday, August 29th from 5:00-11:00PM;

Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st from noon to 11:00PM;

and Monday, September 1st from noon-9:00PM.

Tickets are $8.00. Children 12 and under are FREE.
